Ben Bartlett
An Emmy
nominated and Bafta award-winning
composer, Ben Bartlett stormed the UK film & TV industry with
his memorable and original score to Walking With Dinosaurs.
Highly versatile, his music is intelligent, yet highly melodic,
equally at ease with writing symphonic scores as well as contemporary,
edgy and upbeat scores. Ben now balances his documentary work with
film & TV drama, most recently the 8 part drama, Ghost
Squad, for Company Pictures (RTS
Nomination 2006 - Best Theme), Conviction,
the six-part drama for Red Productions and the BBC, the six-part
BBC comedy drama Absolute Power, starring Stephen
Fry, and The Secret World Of Michael Fry, starring
Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting), directed by Mark Munden. Ben also
recently completed scoring another of Mark Munden's projects, the
Iraqi conflict drama, Mark of Cain, which
has received much critical acclaim for it's portrayal of young British
service men in Basra. He has recently completed the score for The
Chase for Rollem Productions, as well as the score
to Empathy for Carnival, and Rapunzel
for Hat Trick. Ben most recently composed the score for Adrian Shergold's
latest TV project, He Kills Coppers, which
is to air on ITV, and Carnival's three-parter, Midnight
Man. He has just finished scoring the archaeological
thriller Bonekickers for Mammoth Screen
and the BBC. He is currently working on BBC drama Fiona's
Story, and Mutual Friends,
a comedy drama for Hat Trick Productions.
