Samuel Sim
Samuel
first gained recognition as one of Britain’s finest young composers
with his award winning score for the BBC drama series, Dunkirk.
Since then he has written the music for a wide variety of highly
acclaimed film and television productions, most recently scoring
the film Awake for the Weinstein Co,
House of Saddam for HBO/BBC, and has also
written additional music for Peter Morgan's adaptation of the novel
The Damned United for Andy Harries' Left
Bank Pictures. Sam recently completed scoring the BBC's adaptation
of Jane Austen's Emma. Sam is currently
scoring the underwater submarine thriller The Deep
for Tiger Aspect, part of the BBC's upcoming slate of exciting new
dramas for Spring.
From full
orchestral works, to contemporary beat driven scores, Samuel’s music
is celebrated for its powerful imaginative flare which enables him
to balance the commercial needs of the drama with his own bold musical
aspirations.
“An
extremely inventive and talented composer” (Michael Kamen:
Film Composer).
